Conduct and Safety Statement for Conferences
IEEE believes in openness, international collaboration, and the free flow of talent and ideas. Meetings, conferences, and other events provide a forum for the exchange of those technical and humanitarian conversations. IEEE is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment to all conference, event, and meeting participants who engage with IEEE in these conversations. To support this concept, IEEE has created a conduct and safety statement that will become the IEEE credo for conferences, events, and meetings.
Student Travel Grant Program
Under the Student Travel Grant (STG) Program, the IEEE Communications Society provides a limited number of student travel grants to help Student members attend major IEEE ComSoc conferences. Conferences may also seek other sources for travel grants. Please read more about the travel grant program in our Policies and Procedures – 5.3.6.12 Student Travel Grants.
ComSoc Child Care Grant
Funds will be awarded to IEEE ComSoc members for child care during the conference. Details can be found on individual sites shortly before the conference begins.
Attendees with Children at Conferences
Children are not permitted entry into session rooms. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted on exhibit floors during setup or dismantling hours. During scheduled show hours, exceptions are made when parents or guardians complete and sign a Minor Release Form. Parents or guardians must complete and sign the Minor Release Form to allow children access to exhibit areas. The release forms will be available the registration desk onsite.
Photographic Policy
Attendance at, or participation in, any IEEE conference constitutes consent to the use and distribution by IEEE of the attendee’s image or voice for informational, publicity, promotional and/or reporting purposes in print or electronic communications media.
Video recording by participants and other attendees during any portion of the conference is not allowed without special prior written permission of IEEE.
Photographs of copyrighted PowerPoint or other slides are for personal use only and are not to be reproduced or distributed. Do not photograph any such images that are labeled as confidential and/or proprietary.
